Heritage In The Community

Heritage In The Community

This past week Heritage hosted the local El Reno Chambers of Commerce networking event and donated time to the Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma.

Heritage is a proud contributor to the community. On Monday, Heritage hosted the monthly El Reno Chamber of Commerce Coffee Connection in our entry area. The Coffee Connection is a monthly recognition and networking opportunity sponsored by the chamber. At this Connection, we served bakery fresh doughnuts, muffins, and an assortment of beverages including coffee and sodas. Heritage provided promotional product samples as door busters which were magnetic clips and light up logo pens/electronic stylists, which were a hit.

Our CEO Dave DeLana gave a brief presentation giving attendees an over view of the products and services Heritage offers. He spoke about the history of the company’s expansion and the challenges Heritage has faced as the industry has changed, such as promotional products becoming close to 40% of our business.

Karen with the Chamber of Commerce discussed Chamber business and presented several awards to outstanding members. There was a great turn-out with 30+ community business representatives in presence.

The meeting concluded with a tour of Heritage given by the one and only Dave DeLana which was an educational treat from the founder of the company.

Heritage has been a proud member and sponsor of the El Reno Chamber of Commerce since the almost very start of the company in 1974.

Friday the promotional products department along with family members donated their time at the Regional Food Bank. This is the 2nd time an entire department from Heritage has participated in a community service project with the food bank.

Our ASI Team Filled 1-2 pallets of blueberries!
Which is 1380 pounds of blueberries!
Which in turn means 1150 meals will be provided!

Denise, the head of the promotional products department at Heritage, has been donating time and effort both with Heritage and their corporate clients at the Regional Food Bank for approximately 7 years. She takes great pride in working with the regional food bank and loves the benefit this provides to the community. In the past, we have assisted in the preparation of the “Back-pack Food Program”, which provides backpacks filled with food to children. Another program she has enjoyed helping with is the assembly of the packaged food kits which are dispersed to under privileged families through-out the state. It is a great way to give back to the community. Heritage hopes to make this a quarterly event with the food bank.

The Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma currently provides food for over 126,000 families here in Oklahoma every single week and children make up 37% of this number. They are always in need of volunteers on a daily basis. Individuals can volunteer as well as groups. It is recommended to call ahead and register. Children under 18 will need signed permission slips. The food bank also runs on a very limited administrative budget with 96% of all money donated going straight to feeding families.
